Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Stockroom Supervisor to work at our sauces processing facility in Fremont, OH.

  • Currently hiring for non-union hourly position. Candidates must be willing to work weekends. Pay range $35.00-$40.00/hr.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Facilitate company strategy for IMS (Indirect Material Services) management.

  • Develop, document, and maintain procedures and processes for Stockroom.

  • Identify and Prioritize activities of stockroom attendants.

  • Ensure control of inventory Description, Quantity and Location accuracy at Storeroom, Floor and Satellite locations thru:

    • Controlled material receipt, storage and issuing policies

    • Periodic physical inventories

    • Continuous Cycle Count program that takes into account ABC Criticality

  • Facilitate a formal cycle count program:

    • Daily, Weekly and Monthly for main storeroom and satellite.

  • Ensure daily entry in SAP computer system of stock disbursements and good receipts.

  • Manage Repair & Exchange process.

  • Ensure daily restocking of bins for goods receipts of MRO material.

  • Conduct daily retrieval & disbursements of goods issue tickets from main and satellite storerooms.

  • Handle MRP – Material Requirements Program.

  • Review and manage for E-Auction opportunities through MRP, Planned Work Orders (Reservations) and one-time buys.

  • Establish, analyze and adjust inventory levels (considering customer input and inventory optimization theory).

  • Maintain tracking mechanisms charts and reports to manage inventory level.

  • Facilitate Monthly reporting on performance against KPI measures.

  • Perform Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports to conform with SOP’s & KPI’s to ensure effective controls are in place by performing the following:

    • Open Purchase Orders (Not Received)

    • Cycle Count Accuracy

    • Cycle Count Compliance

    • Material Stock outs

    • Bi-Annual Min/Max Analysis

    • Materials not on BOM

    • Ultra-Slow & Obsolete materials (36 Month No Usage)

  • Prioritize related activities for attendants.

  • Train and periodically assist attendants in identifying, locating and issuing parts and supplies to KraftHeinz associates.

  • Train and assist Storeroom attendants in organizing Stockroom according to 5S policy.

  • Provide technical training and coordinate technical training for storeroom attendants & KraftHeinz associates.

  • Lead storeroom associates in maintaining positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors

  • Participant on KraftHeinz teams & supports team decisions.

  • Provide vacation and absence coverage for stockroom attendants.

  • Follow all KraftHeinz policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Ensure all storeroom associates perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.

    • Consistent with lockout/Tagout, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations.

  • Understands and accepts High Performance Work System (HPWS) culture and is supportive of plant and department team goals and vision.

  • Use the SAP system to document maintenance activities.

  • Actively supports maintenance QCDSM and QCMS initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, administrative, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.  Ability to convey ideas and facts clearly and concisely.

  • Strong process management skills.  Ability and inclination to proactively analyze and improve every process.

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components and parts.

  • Computer keyboarding skills, typing skills and literacy in Microsoft Office business application software’s.

  • Strong math skills, including fundamentals of algebra and statistics.

  • Knowledge of and adeptness in using SAP Materials Management software.

  •   Follow all Safety and Security Procedures at all times, attend required safety trainings.

  • Responsible for finding and achieving cost savings through sourcing of new suppliers, manufacturers and distributors. Exceed savings requirements by looking for savings opportunities, negotiating best price and by finding ways to improve profitability.

  • Generate purchase orders (PO’s) using SAP/SRM purchasing system.  Verify quoted prices when generating a PO for any item including reorders.

  • E-Auctions: Adhere to Kraft Heinz E-Auction Policies and Procedures.

  •   Expedite orders, manage status of purchasing needs via the creation of Non-Stock and Stock PO using the “Open Order Report” Regularly check Open Order Report and communicate delays or issues to supervision as required. Ensure timely delivery of items, keeping the affected Maintenance Team members informed of delivery issues.

  • Maintain open lines of communication by establishing and building relationships with other employees, including middle and upper management.

  •      Run reports on a timely basis including the Buyer Activity Report, On Order Report and any other purchasing reports required.

  •       Obtain quotes on items not pre-sourced. Source competitive price quotes for items that are not covered under the manager agreement. Review PO acknowledgement documenting any price changes in procurement system and update new prices on PO with date and any other pertinent information.

  • Review invoices for price and/or quantity discrepancies and follow guidelines to resolve discrepancies, with a focus of assisting Maintenance Manager in reducing discrepancies.

  • Work with Maintenance Manager to streamline processes and implement quality improvements, documenting any changes in SAP/SRM.

  • Adhere to min/max levels as required to maintain proper balance.

Education:

  • Two-year degree required; four-year college degree is preferred.  Experience on the job in lieu of a degree may be considered.           

  • Advanced Knowledge of MRO materials
