Summary: QA hour role reporting to QA supervisor. and maintains a variety of quality and regulatory-related plant programs, including hold product inventory management, formulas, batch sheets, line check sheet maintenance, and plant audit systems. Actively trains plant teams in all of these systems and may coordinate activities of plant teams involved in audits and product sample plans. Supports necessary special assignments.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a passion for the theory and application of Food Safety & quality.
- Be the point person for operator level for food safety & Quality awareness and training support.
- Coordinates the plant hold and release process.
- Coordinates key elements of the HACCP process.
- Audits and ensures Quality programs & policies are adhered to.
- Daily mandatory audits.
- Daily review of paperwork
- Support operations for any out of spec deviations
- Assist Quality supervision to support new product launch and further logistics around it.
- Production floor presence to ensure a food safety & quality culture.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office is preferred.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Stick meat inspection-samples-open stick meat up

• $25.44 per hour starting July 28, 2024.
• $2.00/hour shift premium for working 6pm to 6am
Education/job knowledge/experience:
EDUCATION REQUIRED: GED- Certification in any Quality programs preferred- or job experience equivalent.
SPECIALIZED JOB KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/SKILL LEVEL: Basic math and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, work within certain time constraints, neat and accurate handwriting for detailing information. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Mental Requirements (MR): Simple Reading, simple math, simple tasks, coordinating, analyzing, supervising, instructing, follow instructions, time requirement, problem solving, independent judgment, decision making.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience In Quality Control
• Ability to work in a meat-processing/raw foods environment.
• Ability to be flexible with working any 2nd shift hours.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment including lift up to 50lbs (bend/carry/push/pull) and be able to do so continuously throughout an 8-hour shift; ability to stand for an entire 8-hour or 12-hour shift.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures/wet environment working conditions.
