This critical role will drive the engineering transformation strategy across all ANZ sites, while also overseeing the execution of high value capital investment projects. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our operations, driving efficiency, innovation and long-term sustainability in one of the world most iconic food companies.
Your Impact
As Head of Engineering – CAPEX Projects, you'll be responsible for leading the development of our 5-year strategic Capex Master Plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for ANZ. You'll ensure all investment proposals are robust and viable and track the execution of our project portfolio with rigorous prioritization and regular reviews. Your expertise will be instrumental in deploying our FEL Project Management Process, Engineering Standards, and Preferred Suppliers for Capex projects.
Your Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

Lead the development of our 5-year strategic Capex Master Plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for ANZ

Ensure all investment proposals clearly prove the business case and project viability

Track execution of the Project Portfolio and agree changes through rigorous prioritization and weekly/monthly reviews

Deploy FEL Project Management Process, Engineering Standards, and Preferred Suppliers for Capex projects

Present Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) to the Business Unit, International, and EVP Committees

Ensure the adoption of the Engineering Pillar of the Kraft Heinz Management System within sites

Support the development of core capabilities within ANZ, such as hygienic design, process engineering, and project management

Identify and lead transformational projects across the region

Lead the Operations digital agenda, developing operations technology, data, and digital initiatives
About You
Results-driven strategic engineering leader with a proven track record of driving transformation and delivering high-impact capital projects within a manufacturing organization. You thrive in complex, fast paced matrix organisation and are comfortable balancing hands-on execution with big picture thinking. With strong stakeholder skills and a sharp commercial mindset, you know how to turn engineering vision into real, measurable outcomes.
Requirements:

Strong leader and experienced engineer with a thorough knowledge of proven and advanced technology

Ability to communicate and present technical Business Cases and Investment Proposals up to Vice President level (L2) and to Executive Vice President level (L1) when required

Highly numerate and financially aware, with the ability to identify project sensitivities and account for expenditure appropriately

End-to-end business and deep Supply Chain understanding

Excellent project management skills, particularly organizational, influence, and planning skills

Excellent change leader able to inspire change throughout the organization and develop a vision of Engineering excellence

Ability to influence people who do not report directly to the role and work seamlessly with peers and other stakeholders

Highly competent oral and written communicator, including presentation to senior management forums and creation of concise and effective reports and written business cases
