We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Food Safety Technician to join our Quality team based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Support the FSQ department with quality risk management programme (KHMS) requirements and action plans

Investigate quality incidents, internal and external complaints, and contribute to effective outcomes

Assist in reducing customer complaints and improving right first-time production

Participate in internal audits and validation schedules

Support product sampling and testing projects
-
Represent the FSQ department in new product, process, or packaging developments
-
Provide quality module training to other departments
-
Ensure product released from the site meets customer and company specifications
-
Support production in achieving food safety and quality goals through product testing and release

Provide quality support and training to operations staff
About you:
-
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

A strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and make informed decisions on product quality

Experience with quality risk assessment and a keen eye for detail
-
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel)
-
A strong sense of personal integrity and a clear understanding of right and wrong
-
Technical experience in the FMCG industry is preferred, and experience with BPCS is beneficial
