We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Food Safety Quality Assistant to join our Quality team at our Wagga Wagga site.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Verify paperwork and records, manage taste panels, and test finished products to ensure safety and quality.

Assist the production team with quality-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and help with root cause analysis.

Liaise with suppliers regarding non-conforming goods and manage the supplier complaint process.

Drive the site's non-conforming goods and rework processes and monitor adherence to internal and external requirements.

Ensure compliance with Kraft Heinz and external third-party requirements and escalate any issues or non-compliance.

Assist with third-party audits, internal governance programs, and regulatory compliance.

Work with the broader team across Australia, New Zealand, and the global FSQ community to support FSQ systems improvements and projects.
About you:
-
Experience in managing quality and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred)

A tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, or Technology

Experience working in the FMCG industry (preferred)
-
A combination of technical expertise in thermal processing (including retorting, pasteurisation, freezing, chilling, cannery, and flexible packaging) and strong analytical, interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills (preferred)
-
Eligibility to work in Australia – with full working rights.
