Job Description

Primal Kitchen is hiring an Associate Brand Manager, Innovation & Commercialization to translate our clean-eating strategy into best-in-class product launches. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager of Innovation & Renovation, you’ll manage day-to-day project executions across multiple categories, ensuring every launch meets consumer needs, brand standards, and financial targets.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, consumer-obsessed marketer/innovator who thrives on cross-functional teamwork and rigorous project management and is eager to grow a natural food brand in a scrappy and entrepreneurial environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Innovation Project Execution:

· Execute innovation projects within key categories, turning strategic direction into on-time, in-full, and on-budget launches that reinforce Primal Kitchen’s clean eating positioning.

· Support day-to-day stage gate timelines and deliverables; Coordinate with Sales, Business Development and Agile Working teams to keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Key Category Focus:

· Direct responsibility in focus categories of Oils, Collagen/Supplements, Dips, Ketchup, and Mustard

· Direct responsibility for ad-hoc projects driven by ingredient shortage-related challenges that arise or other in-year opportunities.

Consumer-Driven Product Development:

· Draft consumer-centric product briefs and partner with R&D and other cross functional partners to refine formulations, claims, and specs.

· Integrate consumer insights from the Base Brand team to ensure each innovation complements the existing portfolio.

Innovation Analytics, Planning, and Reporting:

· Leverage multiple syndicated data sources to understand own and competitor performance, diagnose and clearly communicate own brand challenges and marketplace whitespaces

· Track innovation performance in year one of launch and proactively update forecast assumptions based on in-market data and learnings.

Process Leadership:

· Liaise with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and BD/Agile teams to secure innovation inputs (COGS, pricing, etc). Track project budgets, timelines, and forecasts, providing regular updates to the Innovation Lead, the SBM of Innovation, and the Head of Brand Management & Strategy on progress and risks to help align on launch readiness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree

• 3+ years of brand management experience, preferably in CPG or natural foods

• Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional coordination

• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights

• Excellence in stakeholder management and communication

• Passion for natural foods and clean-eating trends

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$102,100.00 – $127,600.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
