We have an exciting opportunity in our Laboratory team as a Laboratory Assistant based in Hastings, New Zealand (Tomoana).

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Conduct sampling and logging of selected samples, including in-process samples, swabs, waters, ingredients, and finished products at Hastings Factories

Prepare media and equipment required for micro testing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Prepare a variety of samples for micro and chemistry testing, adhering to laboratory protocols

Assist laboratory technicians with testing duties, where training has been completed, to support efficient workflow

Perform basic analysis, including pH and chlorine tests, daily for media and samples, maintaining accurate records
About you:

Laboratory experience with a good understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures

Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders

Proficient in basic computer skills and laboratory software systems

Collaborative team player with a focus on teamwork and support

Ability to manage and prioritise workload, helping Laboratory Technicians as required
-
Meticulous attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and reporting skills
-
Current Driver's License holder with a willingness to travel to Hastings Factories
-
Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
